Biography

She graduated in Environmental and Land Engineering at the University of Pavia. On November 1st, 2002, she began her PhD in Civil Engineering at the Department of Hydraulic and Environmental Engineering of the University of Pavia. On February 1st, 2005, she was appointed as a permanent University Researcher in the scientific sector ICAR/03 "Sanitary and Environmental Engineering". In July 2020, she obtained the National Scientific Qualification as Full Professor in the competition sector 08/A2. Since January 1st, 2021, she is Associate Professor at the Department of Civil Engineering and Architecture of the University of Pavia.

She has served as a Member of the Scientific and Technical Committee of the International Center for Cooperation and Development (CICOPS) of the University of Pavia. She is currently President of the Scientific and Technical Committee at the “Water Research Center” (CRA) of University of Pavia.

She is the author of more than 130 publications in international scientific journals. She serves as Editor for the journals Ambiente & Água and L’Acqua, and as Guest Editor for several international journals. She is also co‑inventor of six patents, including one European patent.
