Biography

Simone Morganti is Full Professor of Solid and Structural Mechanics at the University of Pavia since 2024. He has published more than 75 research articles in international journals. His results cover different topics in the field of Computational Mechanics and advanced numerical technologies with a particular focus on Isogeometric Analysis, metamaterials, biomechanics and patient-specific modeling, experimental mechanical characterization of materials and structures, Additive Manufacturing. From August 2020 to June 2024 he has been chairman of the European Community on Computational Methods in Applied Sciences (ECCOMAS) Young Investigators Committee. Since April 2026 he is the Coordinator of the PhD Program in Design, Modeling, and Simulation in Engineering of the University of Pavia
