Biography
Alessandro Reali is a Full Professor of Solid and Structural Mechanics at the University of Pavia and, since 2025, Rector of the same University. He has held several leadership roles, including Dean of the Department of Civil Engineering and Architecture and Rector’s Delegate for International Research and Rankings. An internationally recognized expert in computational mechanics and structural engineering, he has authored around 200 scientific papers, accumulating approximately 19,000 citations and an h-index of 65. He is a Fellow of both the European Academy of Sciences and the Italian Academy of Engineering and Technology, and has received prestigious distinctions such as the ECCOMAS Euler Medal, the IACM Fellows Award, and the ERC Starting Grant. Alongside his academic achievements, he serves on the boards of several scientific and institutional organizations, contributing to research, innovation, and higher education at both national and international levels.
