Graduation: Civil Engineering for risk mitigation from natural hazards at University of Pavia & IUSS of Pavia

Thesis topic: The research activity focuses on the numerical modeling of large wood (LW) dynamics in rivers, integrating theoretical models, laboratory experimentation and field-scale applications within a multi-scale framework. The central objective was to enhance the predictive capability of the two-way coupled Eulerian–Lagrangian model ORSA2D_WT by addressing key limitations in its entrainment and deposition routines.
