Graduation: Mechanical Engineering at ETH Zürich

Supervisor: Prof. Alessandro Reali, Prof. Giancarlo Sangalli

Thesis topic: Study of advanced phase-field models for complex interface problems such as brittle fracture and phase separation. Using Isogeometric Analysis (IGA), I develop high-order numerical frameworks with local mesh adaptivity based on Truncated Hierarchical B-splines (THB-splines). This approach enables accurate and efficient tracking of evolving interfaces over time, while reducing the number of degrees of freedom and overall computational cost.
