Graduation: Master’s Degree Program in Environmental and Territorial Engineering (Renewable Energy), University of Pavia

Supervisor: Prof.ssa Maria Cristina Collivignarelli

Thesis topic: Emerging pollutants (MPs and PFAS): assessment of their impact on treatment performance in wastewater treatment plants.

Objectives:

    1. Framing the issue and reviewing the state of the art on emerging contaminants: regulatory aspects, environmental occurrence, and effects on human health.
    2. Study of the interferences and transport mechanisms across the different treatment stages in wastewater treatment plants.
    3. Identification of sustainable technologies for their removal, promoting an approach oriented toward resource circularity.
